Sunny Side Up, Down, Left And Right

Sunny Side Up, Down, Left And Right

As I consider the world around us and the natural order in which things work, I have become infatuated with the sun.

Here are some interesting facts about the largest star in our solar system:

The sun is the center of our solar system and is responsible for the Earth’s climate and weather.
The sun has a very strong magnetic field and holds the earth and other planets in its orbit.
The sun makes up around 99.86% of the Solar System’s mass.

Why am I amazed by the sun? Here’s why…

Every day the sun rises and changes the landscape of the world in real time. If you have seen the dark of night without the presence of sunlight, you know that few things are visible as black covers the canvas of your view. When the sun begins to rise and even before it is fully visible the world begins takes shape and conforms to its will. The silhouettes of clouds, trees, mountains and all things start to reveal as shadows are cast as a result of the suns ascension, and the full spectrum of the color wheel is manifested before your eyes.

Once the sun is visible it provides energy and life to everything as plants, animals, humans and all walks of life respond to its presence both on this planet and on others.

The sun’s only job is to be itself and perform its assigned task. It rises to its height to become wholly radiant, and once there it begins to set again all the while personifying life from itself alone. As the sun sets the landscape is again changed, and the sky shows its acceptance of the closing day through the reciprocated transformation of the night’s arrival.

Consider This:
In becoming the best version of yourself you are the sun in your own world, and you control the universe around you. Your light shines daily and casts shadows of your presence on everything you encounter. I have heard it said before that “you are the light of the world”, and your daily goal in this existence should be to radiate from within yourself to allow your light to shine. At times we may choose not to shine based on the daily challenges we face, and the desire to fit in and meet the approval of others. Despite the circumstance, you must work to ensure that you portray radiance in all that you do. If you thwart your luminance, no light can shine, no landscape can be transformed, and no life can be given from you.

The sun is ever present and is nature’s expression of the beginning of our today, every day. As we manage our realities filled with obligations, problems to solve, solutions, and possibilities, remember that the sun has many things to do as well and manages to do them all. So do as the sun does, and let your light shine in your daily pursuit of happiness and the fulfillment of life. Ascend to the height of your potential as you work to affect the world around you, and I encourage you to illuminate, radiate, and inspire life in all you do.

this little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine
